Check & Flow Valves

Pneumatic valves are essential control components for the precise regulation of flow rate, compressed-air speed and flow direction in automated systems. As a German manufacturer, eba pneumatic supplies a high-quality range of check and flow control valves that ensure reliable control of pneumatic cylinders and plant components.

Designs, operating principle and areas of application

Our valve range made of robust, nickel-plated brass covers all requirements of modern control technology. It comprises compact banjo bolt valves (DVH/DRVH) for direct cylinder mounting with 360° rotatability, versions with locknut or knurled cap to secure the setting, and push-in connections for tool-free quick assembly. The portfolio is complemented by universal block valves for integration into lines and control cabinets as well as pure check valves (RV), which prevent unwanted backflow without leakage. Designed for thread sizes from M5 to G 1/2" and an operating pressure of 0.2 to 10 bar, our pneumatic valves offer optimum control accuracy and a long service life in the temperature range from -20 °C to +80 °C.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about pneumatic valves

What is the difference between a throttle valve and a throttle check valve?
A simple throttle valve (DV) regulates the flow of compressed air equally in both flow directions. A throttle check valve (DRV), on the other hand, throttles the compressed air in one direction only, while the air flows unthrottled in the opposite direction via an integrated bypass. This allows, for example, precise control of the piston speed of a pneumatic cylinder when extending, while the return stroke takes place at full speed.
What should be considered when mounting pneumatic valves directly on the cylinder?
When mounting banjo bolt valves directly on the cylinder port, make sure that the matching sealing rings (e.g. made of PVC or NBR) sit cleanly and that the specified tightening torque is observed in order to avoid leaks at the ring piece. In addition, the 360° swivel capability of our banjo bolt valves allows optimum alignment of the hose outlet for space-saving hose routing.
